Administrative Burden Baseline Update 2020

In its Red Tape Reduction Action Plan, the Government committed to build on the efforts of the Paperwork Burden Reduction Initiative by requiring departments, through the Administrative Burden Baseline, to provide a count of the requirements in federal regulations that impose an administrative burden on business. This baseline contributes to the openness and transparency of the federal regulatory system.

The federal regulation that is administered by the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB) that has requirements that impose an administrative burden on business is identified below. The total baseline count as of June 30, 2014 was 59 and can be viewed on the June 30, 2014, Baseline Count page. As there were no regulatory changes that affected the existing count of administrative burden requirements in any of the department’s regulations or changes to forms or schedules attached to or associated with the regulations, the baseline count of 59 remains unchanged for 2020.
